How It Began

When I began dating my wife Anna in 2005 my father took us to see the beautiful mosaic of Our Lady of Częstochowa on the southern wall of St Stanislaus Church. Thus our inspiration for the book was born. We had no idea that Polish immigrants were directly responsible for the construction of 18 of Milwaukee's historic churches. 

We began researching for the book pulling mainly from old Jubilee Books published by the various parishes. My wife assisted in translating the older books, which were in Polish. The book "We The Milwaukee Poles"  by Thaddeus Borun published in 1946 also was an invaluable resource but it took us nearly a decade to find a copy!

 We are currently on the lookout for a platform to publish our manuscript. We have been working with the Kuryer Polski newspaper to serialize certain sections of the book as well as academics and historians in Poland. If you have any ideas please free to contact us!
